Who were their gods?
The Vikings were pagans, which means that they had many gods. They're chief god was Odin, he is the god of war, wisdom, law and death. Some of their other gods included Thor, Loki, Frey, Freya, Idun, Sif, Hel. The Vikings believe that the gods lived in a place called Asgard. The most important gods were Odin, Thor and Freya. They also believed that Vikings who died in battle went to a place called Valhalla. Norse Mythology is still practiced today in some parts of Scandinavia. It is more commonly know as Scandinavian mythology. People believe that Norse mythology was a branch off another religion. One far more complex and sophisticated.
