Who was the spirit of evil in their religion?

Almost the entire population of Scandinavia was pagan at the beginning of the Viking age. This mean that they worshipped many gods. Many people believe that the Vikings had a conflict with the Christian God, but they had so many gods that they had no problem accepting the Christian God alongside theirs. Most scholars believed that the reason the Vikings attacked the Christian churches was not because of their religion, but because of the fact that their churches were mostly wealthy and under protected. Odin was their chief god. He was the father of Thor, Balder, Hoder, Tyr, Bragi, Heimdall, Ull, Hermod and Vali. His wives were Fjorgyn, Frigga and Rind. Myths say that Odin would roam around Midgard in human disguise, seducing and impregnating women. People would worship gods in a church like place and they would offer sacrifice. There is no exact number to the amount of gods the Vikings had.
