Did the Vikings have a religion?
Yes, the Vikings had a religion. It was called Norse Paganism. They had many gods and goddesses. Each of the gods had a special job. And each god or goddess had different job. The Vikings worshiped their gods often and had religious ceremonies. The Vikings made sacrifices; animal or human. They would usually sacrifice a cow or bull. The Vikings, unlike Christians, did not have to live up to their marriage vows. This means that the men and ladies could sleep around, even if they were married. In the following pages you will learn more about the Norse gods.
